The last chalkboard drawing before we move (sniffle).. The last spring.. The last Easter.. There's been a lot of "lasts" lately. I KNOW, I know, I'm such a SAP!! 😆 But honestly, I wasn't prepared for the surge of raw emotion this moving process would drudge up, cripes, this isn't my first rodeo. So how did I get so attached to THIS house? Why is it so bittersweet THIS time around?
Well, we took a gigantic leap and signed on a new build guys! We're swapping out our historic charmer for one level living in hopes it's easier for me to get around. It truly pains me to think about leaving an old character home for modern construction, but life seems to demand change-- doesn't it?
I haven't been decorating as much lately, instead I've been doing this 💗
Bibbity bobbity BOO!
Every night I tell baby girl how lovely her room is and how I wish it were mine (her smile afterwards gets me every time). The view of the stenciled wall from her bed is so pretty 🦋 It's such a tough room to photograph because it's really narrow, like 8x11), so make sure to scroll to get a better look at the stencil. We love it so, so much 💗
Mood board for our master bedroom coming at ya. I'm so excited to give our room a little attention after all these years. You'll notice there's no headboard..that's because we cannot agree on one! As a compromise I'll have large pillows against the wall and hang artwork above. It'll do for awhile and make the hubby happy(er). He's not overly thrilled at all the artwork I'm trying to choose from. I think he has it set in his mind I'm going to buy she frame it ALL 😂
Crafts with the kids 🐰🐣
HELLO friends! How are you!? I can't believe I have not posted to my feed since January. I knew I needed a break but I didn't realize just how much. I love decorating and taking photos and all that goes with it but it does take time AND money. I was getting sucked in and beginning to feel like I had to keep up with the big accounts and change up looks and renovate rooms faster than our budget allowed and it wasn't healthy for me. I was feeling anxiety that I didn't need to feel and knew it was time to step back. I still want to have a presence here but I'll be scaling back which means I may lose some of you and that's okay. We all have to do what's best for ourselves and for me, right now, that's sitting more time being present with my family and enjoying our season of life 💖
Happy New Year my dear friends. I hope you're warm and cozy wherever you'll be for the rest of the evening. We're on our way home from the @christmas.in.color display at @valleyfairmn. Heart over to stories to see how beautiful a million lights look!! We wanted to do it before Christmas but I think tonight was the perfect way to end 2020. See you in 2021! 🎉🥂🎆
